About Serve Freight

Serve Freight is a third-party logistics provider based in Asheville, NC and Cleveland, OH. We move freight for shippers across industrial, construction and project cargo verticals. We're backed by the GlobalTranz platform, which gives us national carrier capacity and enterprise-grade technology, while operating with the speed and accountability of a founder-led company.


The Role

This is an entry-level sales seat, phone-first. You'll spend your day calling shippers, qualifying opportunities, and learning the freight brokerage business from the ground up.


You'll work directly with our Director of Account Management as your day-to-day coach, and our Construction Account Executive as your vertical mentor. You'll start by sourcing new accounts and handing them to our operations team to manage. As you build your skills, you'll earn the opportunity to manage accounts yourself at higher commission rates.


What You'll Do
  • Make outbound calls to shippers across target industries
  • Qualify prospects, book discovery conversations, and advance opportunities through pipeline
  • Learn how freight is priced, quoted, and moved using Turvo (TMS), HubSpot (CRM), and DAT
  • Build and manage your pipeline in HubSpot
  • Shadow senior reps on customer calls and absorb how deals close
  • Hit daily activity targets and own your ramp


What We're Looking For
  • Recent college grad or early-career professional looking for a first real sales role
  • Comfortable on the phone and willing to make a lot of calls every day
  • Coachable, competitive, and self-motivated
  • Clear communicator, in writing and on the phone
  • Able to handle rejection and keep momentum
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, not required. We hire on attitude and work ethic over pedigree.


Compensation
  • Base salary: $43,500 (W2)
  • Health insurance stipend: Provided
  • Commission: Uncapped commissions, paid quarterly on the gross margin you generate
  • Year 1 OTE: $60K-$75K depending on ramp speed
  • Year 2 OTE: $85K-$120K as your book matures and commission tiers increase
  • Location: In-office, Asheville HQ or Cleveland, OH


How You Earn

Your commission grows as you grow. Early on, you'll source accounts and hand them to our operations team (lower rate, recurring residual). As you prove you can manage accounts independently, you unlock higher commission tiers. The faster you develop, the faster your income climbs.
