Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces, during evening hours.
- Handle chemical agents safely in accordance with safety procedures for sanitation and cleaning tasks.
- Conduct custodial duties including dusting, mopping, sweeping, trash removal, and surface disinfection.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; report shortages or malfunctions promptly.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols related to chemical handling, equipment use, and manual handling.
- Support facilities maintenance efforts by ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within commercial or residential settings.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the use of cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Prior experience with floor care equipment such as buffers and knowledge of floor buffing techniques is a plus.
