- Cut top panel material for box spring covers and panel material per established work instructions according to production schedule using a hand-held electric knife.
- Cut foam, mattress and box spring panels to a desired size as needed.
- Assemble the cover and the required foam that is on the panel cart.
- Measures and cut multiple layers of material according to specifications and to minimize scrap.
- Measure and inspect finished pieces.
- Lift, carry, move/push cart, and place various materials and components in appropriate areas and/or workstations.
- Organize and/or stock raw materials in the work area, follow departmental housekeeping requirements, and leave the work environment and equipment clean at the end of shift.
- Use of pneumatic tools and hand tools
- Basic ability to read, write and understand English
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School graduate or equivalent GED
- Prior experience in sewing/textile industry
