Position Summary The Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financials Functional Analyst plays a key role exploring, interpreting and documenting business requirements and working with developers and Solution Architect to support, design, and test EBS application functionality. The successful candidate must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. The candidate must also have the ability to work well as a team member, and work efficiently and independently. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong background and experience with the MS Office Suite, Oracle EBS financial modules (AP, AR, GL). The position requires excellent attention to detail.Duties/ResponsibilitiesActively monitor Tier 2 ticket queue, triage, resolve or assign tickets to other functional/technical analysts as needed.Perform preliminary troubleshooting to determine if reported problems are expected standard or customized functionality or unexpected exceptions/defects.Provide Tier 2 account management and functional support for Oracle EBS application, interacting directly with client end-users, client focal points, and team functional and technical resources as needed.Document problems reported including summary, relevant error messages, and all steps required to recreate the problem and transactional examples (e.g., invoice, item, customer/party number, request ID, etc.); Reproduce/demonstrate problems and expected results to technical resources as needed.Responsible for the functional design, testing, and support of conversions, interfaces, reports and extensions of Oracle EBS using Oracle Forms and Reports.Coordinate with the customer focal points to ensure defects/improvements are properly prioritized, and the pipeline and release scope/schedule reflects the same at all times.Participate in user group meetings, defect/improvement ticket prioritization, reporting, and tracking; Document quality and timely meeting minutes.Lead effort with the client to develop quality business requirements that can tested/validated.Develop detailed, quality designs for reports, interfaces, alerts, workflows and extensions; Work with technical developers and Solution Architect to ensure designs are complete and accurate.Provide accurate estimates on functional designs and testing efforts.Perform functional unit and quality assurance testing for patches and solutions against approved requirements and document results.Coordinate and support user acceptance testing.Develop, maintain, and execute application check lists and work instructions.Develop and maintain application test scenarios/scripts for patch and release regression testing.Apply application configurations to the system, including DFFs and extensible attributes and document application configurations (BR100).Assist in production release coordination/communication activities with project manager, system infrastructure, and internal customers.Be available for after-hours production release/patch validation and support activities as needed.Provide functional analyst/accounting migration and on-going support for Workday implementation.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Education/ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.Minimum three (3) years of hands-on experience using and/or supporting Oracle EBS Financials (Payables, Receivables, GL, Collections, Cash Management).Experience with procurement modules a plus (Sourcing, Purchasing, iProcurement).Experience with Workday as a user or support analyst a plus.Demonstrated ability to create timely, thorough design specifications for reports, interfaces, alerts, workflows and extensions.Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service in a challenging environment.Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to produce required training and/or procedural (work instruction) documentation.SQL*Plus working knowledge with ability to construct simple database queries a plus.Experience with at least one packaged help desk/ticket tracking application.
