What are the responsibilities and job description for the MAINTENANCE position at Serra Manufacturing Corporation?
SUMMARY: Performs and/or coordinates facility and machinery repairs such as motors, pneumatic tools, production machinery, punch presses, lathes, mills and drill presses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Maintains building, performs minor and routine painting and other related maintenance activities.
Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts.
Starts devices to test their performance.
Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
Trains operators on Daily machine maintenance
Maintains Preventative Maintenance program.
