We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Plumbing Instructor to join our educational team. Duties
- Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction in plumbing systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance techniques.
- Develop and update curriculum materials aligned with industry standards and OSHA regulations.
- Utilize various teaching tools such as Blackboard and other educational platforms to enhance learning experiences.
- Assess student progress through evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Incorporate related skills such as electrical experience, welding, HVAC/R, automotive diagnostics, and mechanical knowledge into the training modules.
- Maintain a safe classroom environment by enforcing safety protocols related to plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with industry partners to ensure training relevance and employment readiness for students.
- Stay current with industry trends in construction, aircraft maintenance, automotive repair, and other related fields to enrich instructional content.
Skills
- Proven expertise in plumbing systems along with mechanical knowledge across construction, HVAC/R, automotive diagnostics, welding, electrical experience, and maintenance.
- Strong background in adult education principles with experience teaching in classroom settings or hands-on environments.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety regulations applicable to manufacturing, construction, HVAC/R, aircraft maintenance, and plumbing trades.
- Experience developing curricula that incorporate technical skills such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automotive diagnostics, HVAC systems (including air conditioning), and electrical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Blackboard or similar learning management systems for course delivery and student engagement.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to instruct diverse learners effectively.
