Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles with manual transmission to deliver ice products along assigned routes.
- Load and unload ice supplies using heavy lifting techniques, forklifts, or pallet jacks, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records for each trip.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and addressing any delivery concerns promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before departure.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff for inventory management and timely loading of deliveries.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or similar role involving route driving and heavy lifting.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads and moving items safely using forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and safety standards related to loading/unloading cargo.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and route navigation tools.
