Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service at the counter
- Accurately process sales transactions using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision and integrity
- Assist in food preparation, ensuring quality standards and food safety protocols are maintained
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, including bussing tables and food handling stations
- Support food safety standards by following proper sanitation procedures and handling food responsibly
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate orders and ensure timely delivery of food items
- Engage in basic math for cash handling, pricing adjustments, and inventory checks
Skills
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with strong cashiering skills
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Solid understanding of food preparation, food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance customer experience and sales revenue
- Strong time management skills to handle high-volume periods smoothly
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and grocery store experience familiarity
- Previous restaurant or café experience is highly desirable; retail or grocery store experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food industry standards related to serving, bussing, and food safety regulations
