Commercial Flooring Installer Job Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking Union Flooring Installers to join our Commercial Installation team. Experience is always a plus, but we will give opportunities to the right candidates to go through the union Apprentice program. You will install a variety of flooring materials such as, carpet tile, broadloom carpet, sheet vinyl, luxury vinyl plank, VCT, stair treads, and more. Candidates with experience in flooring installation, and / or commercial construction is preferred.
Flooring Installer Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess work sites to determine possible issues and make recommendations accordingly
- Prepare surfaces for installation by removing old hardware like screws and bolts
- Use hand and power tools to install flooring materials according to client specifications
- Work alongside other installers while emphasizing safety and efficient use of time and materials
- Inspect finished work to ensure customer satisfaction and the highest possible standards of work
