We are currently seeking a qualified person to fill the position of MOTOR GRADER OPERATOR. The qualified candidate must have valid Class A CDL.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus (training will be offered)
• Experience with transit and / or rotating laser is a plus.
• Must be able to do simple math.
• Experience reading Blueprints is a plus.
• Must be able to occasionally spend a night out of town.
• Must be extremely reliable and punctual.
• Must be organized, detail oriented, motivated.
• Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus.
• Conducts routine inspections before operating equipment to identify needed maintenance or repairs.
• Comply with operating safety rules and regulations.
• Transports materials around job sites and warehouses.
• When not performing the essential duties and responsibilities, may assist in other operations (deliveries, warehouse, etc.).
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
  
  

Required Skills/Abilities

• Must have valid Class A CDL License.
• 10 speed Manual Experience
• Ability to operate heavy machinery.
• Knowledge of excavation procedures and techniques.
• Ability to follow instructions and read excavation plans.
• Ability to complete safety awareness training.
• Excellent mechanical and problem-solving skills.
  
  

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One to two years of related experience desired.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Able to complete physically demanding work.
• Able to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Good hand-eye-foot coordination and sense of balance.
• Able to kneel, crouch, or crawl in awkward spaces to repair equipment.
