Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers for Live-In positions to provide exceptional in-home and community-based care for individuals with diverse needs. This role involves supporting residents with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional well-being, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, home health, or working with individuals with disabilities, including dementia and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans
- Support residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's and dementia care, ensuring safety and comfort
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with meal planning
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations, care provided, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident rooms and common areas to ensure a clean, safe environment
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to assist with mobility and transfers safely
- Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or mental health status to supervising healthcare professionals
- Support residents’ emotional well-being through companionship, social engagement, and activity planning
- Follow all safety protocols related to infection control, hospice care, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges
Requirements
- Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings preferred
- Certification in First Aid and CPR required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
- Experience working with individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, autism, or developmental disabilities highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and operate patient monitoring equipment safely
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health status
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others
- Ability to work independently in a live-in environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
