Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with light household tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Monitor clients’ health status, report changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Follow care plans meticulously, ensuring all client needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
- Support clients in engaging in recreational activities or exercises tailored to their interests and abilities.
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, observations, and any incidents in compliance with agency protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in caregiving roles, preferably with Level II trauma center experience or hospital medicine backgrounds.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine procedures and familiarity with Level I Trauma Center protocols is highly desirable.
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, post-acute care patients, or those requiring medical-surgical support.
- Strong understanding of inpatient, outpatient, clinic, sub-acute care settings, and teaching hospital environments.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently while providing exceptional patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Certification or experience related to PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room), or other specialized medical areas is a plus.
