Job Description

Serenity Residential Treatment Home is seeking a qualified and experienced Program Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our residential treatment home serving adults diagnosed with serious mental illness.

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and compassionate professional with strong leadership skills, behavioral health experience, and the ability to maintain a safe, supportive, and well-managed residential environment.

The Program Administrator will be responsible for overseeing staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, ensuring quality resident services, and coordinating daily facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and management of the residential treatment home.
• Supervise, train, and support direct care employees.
• Ensure adequate staffing and appropriate employee coverage.
• Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements and facility policies.
• Oversee resident service plans, documentation, and care coordination.
• Ensure residents receive appropriate support based on their individual needs.
• Maintain accurate employee, resident, and facility records.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers, case managers, and community partners.
• Oversee medication management procedures, incident reporting, and safety practices.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures.
• Address operational concerns and maintain a safe, professional environment.
• Communicate regularly with facility ownership regarding operations and compliance.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet at least ONE of the following experience requirements:

• At least 1 year of clinical experience working in a setting providing treatment to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness.

OR

• At least 2 years of residential experience working in a licensed setting providing care and services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness.

Additional requirements:

• Experience and demonstrated ability working with individuals with serious mental illness.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise employees and manage daily operations.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and confidential documentation.
• Ability to meet required background screening and eligibility standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Availability to perform administrative duties on-site for at least 20 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Program Administrator, Residential Manager, House Manager, or Behavioral Health Supervisor.
• Experience in psychiatric hospitals or licensed mental health residential programs.
• Familiarity with state residential treatment licensing requirements.
• Experience with staff scheduling, training, medication oversight, and crisis intervention.
• Knowledge of person-centered service planning and behavioral health documentation.
