Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s as needed
- Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
- Support patients with memory care needs including dementia and Alzheimer’s care by implementing specialized techniques and ensuring a safe environment
- Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning tasks to promote hygiene and comfort
- Document care activities thoroughly, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home health, or hospice care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring
- Experience with patient monitoring tools and mobility aids including Hoyer lifts or resident’s preferred
- Compassionate attitude combined with strong communication skills to foster trust and rapport with clients and their families
