What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Massage Therapist position at Serenity Massage & Energywork?
Summary
Most job listings promise flexibility and great pay. We can do that too, but here's what's different: Serenity is owned and run by a working LMT who has never stopped being one. That means no one here will ask you to book past your capacity, dismiss a client concern you bring to the table, or treat your body like it's just overhead. This practice runs on the belief that the person doing the work matters as much as the work itself. We're a small team in Council Bluffs, five minutes across the river, and we have room for two more people who actually love this profession. If that's you, we'd like to meet you.
Responsibilities
You'll see clients, do good work, and take care of your documentation. You'll communicate honestly with the people on your table and bring concerns to the team when something needs attention. You'll keep your room clean and your skills sharp. And you'll show up, consistently, as someone your clients and coworkers can count on.
Qualifications
You hold a current Iowa massage therapy license and you know your way around Swedish and at least one other modality. You can talk to clients like a human being. You're on time, you're professional, and you actually care about the work. Bonus points if you do hot stone, prenatal, or energy work, but we're more interested in who you are as a practitioner than how long your modality list is.
