About the Position
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and compassionate Floor Team Lead to oversee the daily operations of our small, 8-resident assisted living home.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys caring for residents while also taking ownership of the home's daily operations, staff performance, and overall quality of care.
Our ideal candidate is a natural leader who sets a positive example, holds their team accountable, pays attention to the details, and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed.
You'll be the go-to person for the house, working closely with corporate management to ensure residents receive exceptional care, staff are supported, and the facility operates smoothly and in compliance with state regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Oversight

- Lead by example, promoting teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
- Ensure staff follow established policies, procedures, and daily checklists.
- Monitor staff performance and communicate concerns or training needs to management.
- Assist with staffing challenges, including occasionally filling weekend or open shifts when necessary.
Resident Care & Monitoring
- Oversee the daily care and well-being of all eight residents.
- Monitor changes in residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive conditions and report concerns appropriately.
- Ensure individualized care plans are followed consistently.
- Provide direct resident care and assistance with activities of daily living as needed.
- Maintain open communication with management, staff, residents, and families as appropriate.
Medication Management & Compliance
- Oversee medication administration practices, documentation, and medication inventory in accordance with facility policies and applicable regulations.
- Ensure medication records are accurate, complete, and maintained appropriately.
- Help maintain compliance with Wisconsin DHS Chapter 83 (CBRF regulations).
- Ensure required documentation, safety checks, and facility procedures are completed accurately and on time.
- Identify and address compliance concerns, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Household Operations
- Coordinate grocery ordering and monitor household supplies.
- Ensure the home remains clean, organized, safe, and welcoming.
- Oversee completion of daily, weekly, and monthly operational checklists.
- Communicate maintenance, supply, staffing, and resident needs to corporate management.
- Take ownership of the little details that keep the household running smoothly.
Qualifications & Expectations
- Previous experience in assisted living, CBRF, or a similar caregiving environment preferred, but not required. Will train the right candidate!
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Wisconsin DHS 83 regulations a plus.
- Current CBRF certifications preferred, or willingness to obtain required training.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to confidently lead a team while maintaining a respectful, supportive atmosphere.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Dependable, flexible, and willing to step in when the team needs additional support.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and follow through without constant supervision.
Who Will Thrive in This Role?
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about the people they serve. Caregiving is a work of the HEART.
Someone who notices when something needs to be done and takes initiative. Someone who can balance compassion with accountability, lead a team without micromanaging, and understand that running a successful assisted living home requires both great resident care and strong attention to operational details.
This isn't just a caregiving position — it's an opportunity to lead a home, support a team, and make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of eight residents.
If you're a team player, a natural problem-solver, and someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, we'd love to hear from you!
