Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering personal care, companionship, and support with daily activities. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
- Prepare meals and assist with meal planning and preparation according to dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or developmental disabilities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies.
Skills
- First aid and CPR certification are preferred.
- Experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs.
- Ability to assist with heavy lifting and mobility support for clients.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism and developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
