About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Physician to provide medical leadership and direct patient care within Serenity Lane. This role delivers evidence-based addiction medicine services, supports medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care. The Physician works under the supervision of the Medical Director or designee.
What You’ll Do
* Conduct medical assessments, admissions history & physicals, and determine appropriate level of care.
* Oversee detoxification and MAT protocols (e.g., Antabuse, Naltrexone, buprenorphine as applicable).
* Monitor patient stability, interpret labs, and respond to urgent medical needs.
* Collaborate with clinical, admissions, and psychiatric teams on complex cases and high-risk patients.
* Participate in team meetings, support IOP services, and contribute to quality and compliance standards.
* Complete timely documentation, discharge summaries, and insurance communications as needed.
What We’re Looking For
* Education & Experience
* * MD or DO with completion of an accredited residency (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, or related field).
* * Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience preferred.
* * Experience in SUD treatment, detoxification, behavioral health, or MAT strongly preferred.
* Licensure & Certifications
* * Current, unrestricted state medical license.
* * Active DEA registration.
* * Board certification/eligibility preferred.
* * BLS required; ACLS preferred.
* * Buprenorphine prescribing eligibility preferred (if applicable).
* Key Competencies
** Strong knowledge of addiction medicine, withdrawal management, and co-occurring disorders.
** Sound clinical judgment and crisis management skills.
** Effective communicator and collaborative team member.
** Proficient with EHR systems.
** Commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional development.
* Ability to pass a background check and drug screen (Serenity Lane is a Cannabis THC-free workplace)
