Day Shift Monday-Friday with weekend on call rotation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Meets the training requirements in accordance with State and Federal Laws
- Registered State Tested Nurses Aide (STNA)
- Ability to read, write and follow written instructions in the English language
- Documents according to policy
- Demonstrates empathy for the ill, injured, frail, impaired and infirmed
- Demonstrates tact, patience and maintains personal hygiene according to policy
- Current driver’s license, insurance and dependable vehicle
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides personal care for patients: bed baths; sponge, tub or shower baths; nail and skin care; oral hygiene; toileting and elimination
- Assist with feeding the patient if necessary and socialization along with reporting social needs
- Assist with ambulation, positioning and range of motion exercises according to the plan of care
- Assist with safe transfer techniques
- Change bed linens and laundry according to plan of care
- Adhere to infection control procedures and standards
- Recognize emergencies and knowledge of emergency procedures
- Report changes in the patient’s status to the Registered Nurse or Supervisor
- Clean up work area after rendering patient care
- Adhere to Serenity Hospice Service’s policies and procedures
- Assist with other duties as assigned

Salary: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
