Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
- Assist in the processing of biweekly payroll for employees, ensuring all compensation, deductions, and adjustments are accurate and timely
- Ensure payroll records are up to date and reflect any changes, such as salary adjustments, bonuses, terminations, and new hires
- Enter and update employee information related to payroll, including hours worked, leave balances, tax withholdings, and other deductions
- Verify and reconcile timesheets and other payroll-related data for accuracy
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, including pay discrepancies, deductions, and other payroll-related questions
- Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues promptly
- Assist in the calculation and filing of payroll taxes, including federal, state, and local taxes
- Assist with internal audits and external audits as needed
- Provide administrative support to the Payroll Manager in all payroll-related activities
- Assist with the preparation of reports and analysis related to payroll
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related role
- Familiarity with Paycor (A Paychex company) is a plus
- Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and best practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with employees and management
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
