About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable, attentive Medical Scribe to support our clinical team. In this position, you will work directly alongside clinical providers and document patient sessions. Your work helps streamline the clinical process by letting providers concentrate on patient care rather than charting. This job requires professionalism, compassion, and the ability to remain calm even when exposed to sensitive or difficult medical information.
Key Responsibilities
- Record provider–patient conversations in real time, including symptoms, past medical history, physical exam details, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Enter all information accurately into our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) / Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Stay familiar with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure precise charting.
- Organize and maintain patient charts while following all healthcare compliance rules.
- Communicate with providers to resolve unclear, missing, or inconsistent documentation.
- Prepare charts before appointments and ensure all required information is ready for each patient visit.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Strong typing ability and excellent transcription accuracy.
- Prior experience in a medical office or similar setting is helpful.
- Comfortable navigating EMR/EHR platforms.
- Solid knowledge of medical language and clinical concepts.
- Able to create legally compliant, clear, and concise documentation.
- Experience in urgent care or emergency department environments is a plus.
- Outstanding attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Professional communication skills with both staff and patients.
