The Budtender is responsible for providing our customers with an extraordinary experience. Through meaningful interaction and knowledgeable answers, the Budtender fosters an environment that is compassionate, genuine, and respectful. Budtenders are expected to contribute to making their Dispensary a climate that encourages forward-thinking, embraces inclusion, and practices generosity of spirit. Budtenders also assist the Management Team with the activities and operations of the store, while abiding by policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service before, during and after the sales experience
- Develop and maintain knowledge of all cultivars and products in store inventory
- Communicate the effects of different types of cannabis to customers clearly and effectively.
- Attend ongoing product knowledge training sessions
- Follow all operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ensure satisfaction of all customers in the retail experience, focusing on increasing customer loyalty
- Assist with marketing store in neighborhood
- Strong knowledge of cash register operations and POS systems
- Comply with all merchandising, cleanliness, and display maintenance policies and procedures
- Responsible for opening and closing of the store and maintaining brand standards and store operations
About You
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or the equivalent
- Legally authorized to work in Cannabis in New York
- Prior retail or customer service experience is an asset
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Able to accommodate scheduling that may include varied shifts, weekends and holidays
- Able to pass all background checks as required by state cannabis agency
- Knowledge of marijuana strains, (indicas, sativas, hybrids), edibles, extracts, and current products on the market is a plus
