POSITION SUMMARY
The Program Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day administration and regulatory compliance of the Day Habilitation Program. This individual ensures the delivery of person-centered, community-integrated services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in accordance with NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) standards, the NJ Community Care Waiver. The Program Manager leads a multidisciplinary team to support participants in achieving individualized goals related to independence, skill development, community participation, and quality of life.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Operations & Compliance
- Oversee all daily operations of the Day Habilitation Program in compliance with NJ DDD Community Care Waiver requirements and applicable regulations under N.J.A.C. 10:44A
- Ensure program activities meet ISP (Individualized Service Plan) goals for each participant and are documented accurately
Staff Management
- Train, supervise, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and program support staff
- Develop staff scheduling to maintain required staff-to-participant ratios
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance management, and professional development opportunities
Participant Services
- Participate in ISP meetings and collaborate with Support Coordinators, families, guardians, and interdisciplinary team members
- Oversee the development, implementation, and review of individualized habilitation plans and activity programming
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience working with adults with I/DD in a licensed day program, residential, or related setting
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or program management experience required
- Prior experience with NJ DDD systems, Community Care Waiver billing, and ISP processes strongly preferred
Licensure & Certifications
- Valid NJ driver's license
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Medication Administration certification a plus
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
