Pay: $3500/mth salary

Status: Live-In Position

Weekend Schedule: Weekends off or optional to work

Compensation & Benefits

• $3500/mth salary
• Live-in housing provided

• Paid 40-hour Initial Training (Title 22 compliant)

• Consistent staffing ratios:
• Never exceeding 6 residents
• Adequate caregiver coverage per shift

Job Responsibilities

As a Live-In Caregiver, your primary responsibilities include:

• Providing compassionate personal care to elderly residents in an RCFE setting
• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including:
• Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Meal preparation and feeding assistance
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Assisting with ambulation, transfers, and fall-prevention support
• Providing medication reminders and documenting care provided
• Monitoring resident conditions and reporting changes or concerns to the administrator
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized living environment
• Offering companionship and engaging residents in daily activities
• Supporting residents’ dignity, comfort, and emotional well-being

Qualifications & Requirements

• CPR/BLS Certification (required)
• 40-Hour Initial RCFE Training (paid)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous caregiving or senior care experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor
• Reliable, responsible, and comfortable with a live-in role

Licensing (Preferred, Not Required)

Qualifications cont.:

• Strong caregiving and elder care skills, with a demonstrated commitment to compassionate, person-centered support.
• Experience in home care and personal care, including assistance with activities of daily living and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including clear communication, patience, empathy, and the ability to build trust with clients and families.
• Ability to follow care plans, document observations, and report changes in condition to supervisors or clinical staff.
• Prior experience as a live-in caregiver or in a similar residential care setting preferred.
• Basic knowledge of infection control, safety practices, and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours in a live-in arrangement, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant caregiver, CNA, or home health aide training or certification is a plus (if required by local regulations).
• Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility; must meet physical requirements of the role.
• Background checks and any required health screenings must be successfully completed in accordance with Sutter Health policies and applicable laws.

• CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) – preferred but not required
