Maintenance Full Time Associate hours vary

Security-Maintenance Associate: Maybe required to work 2 weekends a month

Job Description:

Maintenance Responsibilities

• Perform and document routine inspections such as fire drills, tornado drills, active shoot drills and other drills as assigned.
• Maintenance activities such as light plumbing, commercial toilets, repairing drywall, changing fluorescent lighting, fixing commercial doors, painting, changing VCT tile, and other residential/ commercial repair duties.
• Make adjustments and minor repairs.
• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc )...
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms such as the maintenance shop areas and housekeeping.
• Grounds maintenance must have knowledge of lawn equipment such zero turn mowers, edgers and weed eaters.
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff
• Follow all health and safety regulations

Skills

• Must be able to complete small jobs to include, changing door handles, light electrical, painting, drywall, VCT tile, and commercial plumbing is a plus.
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Integrity and ability to work independently

Security Responsibilities

• Monitors all entrances and exits to ensure prevention of all unapproved entry into the facility.
• Ensures optimal levels of communication with individuals and visitors and ensures proper courtesy to individuals served and employees.
• Assists visitors and individuals with queries.
• Reports unsafe conditions and suspicious activity to supervisor or designee.
• Contacts the sheriff’s department if needed.
• Aids individuals and employees in the event of emergencies, such as: fire, medical, psychiatric, etc.
• Monitors and prevents loss of SBHS property. Must be dependable.
• Will be required to work security when security guard is unavailable.

Skills

• Ability to handle tools and lawn equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Knowledge of power tools.
• Integrity and ability to work independently
• Must be able to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Work well with others

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED. Driver’s License and Good Driving Record.
• Atleast 2-3 years of general maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Security Guard and or General Maintenance worker

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
