Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide on-call nursing support for our assisted living community. This role is responsible for responding to resident needs, staff concerns, and clinical issues that arise outside of normal business hours. The ideal candidate is confident, responsive, and knowledgeable in geriatric care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical guidance and nursing support to assisted living staff
• Respond to resident health concerns, changes in condition, and urgent situations
• Perform resident assessments monthly and as needed
• Administer or oversee medication administration per policy
• Communicate with providers, families, and pharmacy as necessary
• Determine when a higher level of care or emergency services are needed
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and assisted living standards
• Document assessments, interventions, and communications accurately

On-Call Schedule

• Coverage during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to respond by phone in 5 minutes and/or in person within 60 minutes
• On-call rotation

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in WV
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience
• Experience with assisted living, long-term care, geriatrics, or home health preferred
• Current CPR/first aide certification
• Strong assessment and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and provide leadership support to staff
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred (but not required)

• Prior on-call or supervisory nursing experience
• Familiarity with state assisted living regulations
• Experience with EMR or electronic documentation systems

• Competitive salary $65,000-$75,000 per year based on experience
• Flexible scheduling ( must dedicate 30 hours per week to be at facility during day time hours, and be on call 24/7 for emergencies)
