Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time (PT) caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, meal preparation, and patient care, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for clients. This role requires a strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and the ability to work effectively with individuals with dementia and autism.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Support clients with daily living tasks, including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and client progress.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or home health preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving duties.
