We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Cook to join our team at [Name of Your Nursing Home]. You will prepare nutritious, delicious, and well-presented meals for our elderly residents in a caring, clean, and safe environment.

This is more than just a cooking job — you’ll play an important role in supporting the health and quality of life of our residents.

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 50–150 residents

• Follow standardized recipes and therapeutic diets (diabetic, low-sodium, pureed, mechanical soft, etc.)

• Work closely with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff

• Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards (HACCP, PA Department of Health)

• Prepare special event and holiday meals

• Portion control and proper food handling

• Clean kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen

• Previous cooking experience required (restaurant, institutional, or long-term care preferred)

• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and special dietary needs is a big plus

• ServSafe or food safety certification preferred (or willing to obtain)

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

• Must be dependable, have a positive attitude, and enjoy working with seniors

• Must pass PA criminal background check and TB test
