What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastry Cook position at Serendipity Catering?
Job Responsibilities:
Preparing Serendipity Cafe' pastry and savory items for our three retail locations in addition to client events
Demonstrating skill in baking pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, sweets, and pies
Creating enticing confectionery decorations and delicious pastry fillings, as well as keeping abreast of new pastry baking techniques
Follow the prep sheets created by Prep Sheet Creator to plan duties
Label and stock ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible; ensure all food and other items are stored and dated properly
Clean and sanitize working surfaces, tools, utensils, and working area
Wash prep tables and kitchen floor before closing/leaving for the evening; take trash/recycling/compost to designated receptacle outside
Able to help prepare cold and hot food for the cafes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
