Job Description
Serena Mental Health of Florida is seeking a Licensed Clinical Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing high-quality mental health services to a diverse client population. This role involves both in-person and telehealth therapy sessions, conducted on-site at our clinic.
This position is currently 16 hours per week (2 days/week), with the possibility of increasing hours based on patient volume. The therapist will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy, and offering support services in accordance with professional ethical standards.
Essential Functions
Provide clinical assessments, psychotherapy, and case management to individuals and families
Conduct individual, couples, family, and group therapy as appropriate
Offer support and education to significant others of clients
Provide referrals to supplemental services as needed
Use HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms when delivering virtual care
Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
Develop and modify treatment plans based on client progress and therapeutic response
Participate in monthly clinical supervision with the Clinical Director
Collaborate with external providers to ensure coordinated care
Identify and appropriately address crisis situations, including initiating Baker Acts when necessary
Uphold compliance with agency procedures, state laws, and licensing regulations
Education
Master’s degree in social work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution
Experience
Active and unrestricted Florida license as one of the following:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Experience providing therapy to a diverse population, including individuals with severe mental illness and adjustment disorders
Familiarity with both in-person and telehealth therapy practices
Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnoses, psychotropic medications, and the mental health service delivery system
Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
Additional Requirements
Must be fully bilingual (English-Spanish)
Clear AHCA Level II Background Screening
Completion of telehealth training (provided upon hire)
Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented approach
Ability to work independently while maintaining clinical standards and protocols
