OVERVIEW. The Project Manager oversees commercial construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Responsibilities include project planning, scheduling, budget management, resource allocation, and communication with stakeholders to ensure project success.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Proven commercial construction project experience; associate or bachelor’s degree in a construction related field, business management preferred
- Candidate must be willing to participate in field training with crew members to develop a strong understanding of company operations, workflows, and project scopes
- Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and within team environment
- Commercial construction experience preferred
- Ability to travel overnight by up to 50% of work week, as needed
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all phases of projects to meet schedule, budget, and quality goals
- Plan and manage production schedules; provide weekly direction and updates
- Coordinate jobsite activities, inspections, meetings, and material deliveries
- Support and collaborate with the superintendent on field operations
- Track labor, materials, and performance against project estimates
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues
- Manage client, supplier, and stakeholder relationships
- Lead production, design review, and project handoff meetings
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and action plans
- Assist in the processing and review timesheets, expenses, inspection reports, and financial documentation
- Issue purchase orders and coordinate procurement and logistics
- Manage change orders, including pricing, approvals, and budget alignment
- Gather field data for estimating and project planning
- Recruit, onboard, and support employee training and development
- Track employee certifications and ensure compliance requirements are met
- Assist with performance evaluations of field personnel
- Ensure availability of tools, equipment, safety supplies, and materials
- Support SOP development and continuous process improvement
- Provide weekly and quarterly performance updates to leadership
- Oversight and maintenance of building and grounds.
- Handle issues related to computers and IT.
- Assist with maintaining an adequate supply of safety equipment, tectum panels and other supplies
COMPENSATION
- Total annual compensation (base salary performance-based bonus) commensurate with experience: $90,000 – $120,000
- Company vehicle and gas card after probationary period.
- Cell phone or $45 per month towards the cost of your personal cell phone
