What are the responsibilities and job description for the DOL TAP Lead Facilitator (Full-time)- JB Lewis McCord, WA position at Serco North America?
In this role, you will:
- Teach and/or instruct military personnel transitioning to civilian professional and vocational occupations.
- Guide the transitioning military service members in identifying goals along with recognizing any employment or education gaps.
- Provide transitioning service members (Active, Reserve, National Guard), family members, and veterans a comprehensive understanding of preparing for civilian employment, job searching, job application processes, networking, technical training opportunities, credentialing.
- Assist in preparing for civilian employment and participation in technical programs and schools.
- Conduct small and large group instruction on the job search process.
- Deliver standardized curriculum via in-person or virtual classrooms.
- Ensure completion and submission of classroom reports for their assigned Hub.
- Ensure all facilitators maintain training certifications and follow standardized curriculum.
- Observe and mentor new facilitators during the delivery of standardized curriculum.
- Validate weekly and quarterly schedule of facilitation assignments.
- Proactively communicate concerns to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Coordinate travel assignments and adhere to travel expense policies for their assigned Hub.
- Report to a regional manager and attend weekly meetings (virtually).
- Upon emergent needs, be able to facilitate on short notice.
- Work and reside within the Hub assigned area.
- Lead Facilitator is assigned a primary location within the hub that has satellite locations.
- Lead Facilitator is trained on the CORE DOL standardized curriculum and the other DOL TAP curricula. Lead Facilitators are to maintain certification.
- Any facilitation assignment that is greater than 50 miles from Lead’s primary location, then, travel will be reimbursed.

Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma and 3 years of experience as a professional trainer or classroom facilitator
- OR Associates Degree
- Experience which demonstrates understanding of private and public sector employment processes
- Knowledge of the workplace, jobs, and requirement for entry into those jobs
- Ability to provide standardized training to groups with up to 50 participants
- Familiarity with MS Windows and Office
- Ability to effectively communicate with Military clients and Government representatives
- Comfortability instructing and speaking in front of a group, be observant of others, possess the ability to professionally engage with a diverse audience
- Ability to work extended hours, including weekdays, weekends, and some holidays
- Excellent time management skills, able to work independently and follow directions
- Ability to respond to emergent facilitation assignments
- Ability to meet country specific employment requirements
- This is a higher-level facilitation position so selected individual must be able to perform all of the skills / roles of other facilitators
- Ability to travel up to 25%
