What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista/Cashier position at Seraphim Bread?
Seraphim Bread is looking to hire a new baristas and clerks for their location. We are an artisan bakery and cafe that specializes in made from scratch breads and pastries, sandwiches and soups, and coffee drinks. Independently ran, with locally sourced ingredients, and a seasonally changing menu.
Our shifts are available: 6am - 1pm, or 9am - 4pm. 5 days a week. Rotating weekend availability required. Part-time hours are also available.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the POS system efficiently for cash handling and sales transactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, equipment, and restrooms.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or café environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong cash handling skills with basic math proficiency for accurate transactions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
