Chinle ER Physicians

BC/BE | Locum or Full-Time | Rural IHS Facility

We are actively seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians to join a dedicated clinical team in Chinle, Arizona, serving a rural Native American population at an IHS hospital. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a well-supported environment with a strong provider group.

Position Highlights:

• Location: Chinle, AZ

• Pay Rate: $300–$350 per hour (depending on whether you are Board Certifed or Board Eligible, as well if you cover your own travel arrangements)

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Day, Swing, Night)

• ED Volume: Approx. 20k annual visits

• Trauma Level: Level III

• Contract Length: 52-week rolling contracts

• Position Type: Locums, Full-Time, or Part-Time/Contract

• Work Setting: IHS Hospital

 Shift Times (Physician Coverage):

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

• 2:00 PM – 2:00 AM

• 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
  (4 physician shifts per day)

 Support Staff:
APPs provide backup for low-acuity/Urgent Care cases with ideal shift times:

• PA/NP staff on-site for Urgent Care/low-acuity cases

• 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM

• 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM
  Note: APP coverage is available, but current contract approval is for physicians only.

• 100% Malpractice coverage provided

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine

• Active DEA

• Current ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications

• Intubation experience required

• Any valid, unrestricted U.S. state medical license accepted
