Job Summary
VA (Virtual Academies) is an academic program that offers core content instruction for students in grades 6-12. The program is designed to engage learners through direct instruction, thoughtful classroom discussion, relevant projects, and, when possible, local meetups/field trips. VA is designed to meet the academic, social, and developmental needs of students while preparing them for high school. VA Teachers will be responsible for teaching synchronous and asynchronous classes in their assigned content area. Live classes will consist of one-hour live, virtual sessions twice per week. The Virtual Teacher will also hold scheduled virtual office hours twice per week, monitor student progress, assign grades, and be available for individual student appointments as needed.

California Single Subject- Social Studies or Multiple Subject- with Social Studies authorization Must be local to Sacramento or one of the 14 counties served by SGCA schools: (Butte, Colusa, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, Yuba, Glenn, Lake, Mendocino, Tehama, Alpine, Amador, El Dorado) Completed and updated application Updated resume (no photographs please) Cover letter 3 letters of recommendation (signed and within one year) Updated AB2534 Employment History All transcripts
