Summary of position
The Investment Research Associate will play a key role in supporting the firm’s investment research, analysis, and decision-making processes across multiple asset classes. This individual will contribute to client-level investment allocation decisions, participate in the evaluation of public and private investment opportunities, and collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, analytical, and eager to develop expertise within a dynamic investment environment.
We are targeting a base salary range of $50,000 to $90,000 for this position, depending on experience, along with bonus incentives and a competitive benefits package provided to our employees.
Responsibilities
- Support overall investment research and decision-making process across multiple asset classes
- Contribute to investment allocation decisions at the individual client level
- Communicate effectively to different key groups including internal research, operations, advisors, and legal partners
- Work on specific investment projects that can lead to investments in Sentinel internal public and private funds
- Assist in preparing investment reports, presentations, and recommendations for internal and client-facing use.
- Attend investment and industry conferences to expand knowledge, monitor market trends, and enhance diligence of existing and potential opportunities.
- Participate in ad hoc investment projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field required.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in investment research, portfolio management support, or related analytical work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with strong quantitative and data analysis skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present complex information clearly.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working within a multi-asset investment environment (public and private markets).
- Familiarity with portfolio management systems, financial databases or CRM tools such as Salesforce.
- Progress toward, or interest in pursuing, a CFA designation or equivalent professional credential.
