SUMMARY

We seek a full time candidate who has extensive experience as a full charge bookkeeper. This position reports directly to the company’s owner and supports the management team. Del Rio Marketing, Inc, offers competitive compensation and benefit package including Health Insurance.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Education: AA in Accounting or Business
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as full charge bookkeeper
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures to support the operations
- Extensive working knowledge of QuickBooks (including payroll) and MS Office software is required
- Must be reliable, able to meet deadlines, and perform multiple tasks concurrently
- Strong organizational time management and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential business matters with professional demeanor
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accounting System ‐ Maintain a coherent system of accounts with supporting electronic & paper filing systems; ensure general ledger accounts are debited and credited appropriately
- Job Cost System ‐ Assist in managing the job cost system and ensuring accuracy of the reporting classes to facilitate project costing.
- Accounts receivable ‐ review, list, and reconcile invoices from sales
- Accounts payable ‐ match, batch, and code vendor bills, print & mail checks, reconcile vendor account statements to internal records, prepare 1096/1099's
- Payroll ‐ review timesheets for accuracy and proper approvals; prepare direct deposits and paychecks (QuickBooks); remit Fed and State withholding taxes
- Closing processes ‐ reconcile accounts, prepare closing entries
- Financial reporting ‐ prepare basic financial statements & job cost financial analyses using QuickBooks and Excel, respond to financial inquiries from management team
- Tax reporting ‐ prepare and remit sales & use taxes, prepare various Federal and State payroll related returns including 943s, W3 & W2's, 940

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday‐Friday, 1/2 hour lunch

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
