Role Overview
At Sequifi, we’re transforming how sales commissions are managed, eliminating messy spreadsheets and manual processes and replacing them with intelligent, scalable automation.
This is a highly cross-functional role. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, customer success, sales, and distributed design teams to create intuitive experiences for complex financial workflows.
We’re looking for a product designer who is analytical, fast-moving, and deeply user-centric, someone who can turn messy, high-stakes workflows into clean, powerful, and human experiences.
You’ll own problems end-to-end: research, ideation, design, validation, and iteration, while working inside (and evolving) our design system.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and collaborate with distributed/offshore design teams, setting clear design direction and maintaining high quality
- Translate complex product vision and business goals into simple, intuitive user experiences
- Independently conduct user research: interviews, usability testing, workflow analysis, and data reviews
- Use AI-assisted coding and prototyping tools (Cursor, etc.) to create interactive prototypes and potentially ship UX improvements directly
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative feedback into clear insights for product and engineering teams
- Continuously evolve our Figma-based design system with scalable components and patterns
- Define and track success metrics (adoption, task completion, error reduction, engagement, etc.)
- Present and defend design decisions with structured reasoning, research, and data
- Help simplify and humanize complex commission and payroll workflows
What We’re Looking For
Must-haves:
- 3 years of experience designing B2B SaaS products (especially complex or data-heavy systems)
- Strong experience working with distributed or offshore teams
- Proven ability to independently conduct and execute user research
- Expertise in Figma and building within design systems
- Strong analytical thinking and UX problem-solving skills
- Experience using AI tools for prototyping or rapid iteration
- Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous, startup environments
- Strong communication and storytelling skills (you can explain your design thinking clearly)
Bonus:
- Experience with financial software, HR tech, payroll, or commission platforms
- Experience designing products used by sales teams or operations teams
- Background in HCM, Fintech, or IT systems (HR, Payroll, Benefits, Identity, etc.)
- Experience building functional prototypes using AI coding tools like Cursor
