SequelCare of Florida offers an array of mental health services to youth and their caregivers through our Community Based Programs. The Community Based Services Program provides individual and family, as well as educational and targeted case management services to our consumers. We are currently looking for a Full Time - Medical Assistant for our Pinellas Park office. . DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This valuable team member is cross-trained to perform administrative duties and patient care. • Greet patients in a professional manner treating each individual with respect and dignity • Take vitals and review medical history • Answer telephone calls and schedule appointments • Prepare charts for new patients and manage all charts to ensure compliance • Input data, update and file medical records • Phone in prescriptions and refills, as directed • Support psychiatric providers during their work hours and in between appointments • Other duties, as assigned REQUIREMENTS: • Certification or Registration as Medical Assistant required • Strong data entry skills with a minimum of one year experience working with electronic medical records • Knowledge of diagnostic codes, medical terminology and medications • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Suite • Exceptional communication skills, compassionate, professional and discreet • Organized with a keen attention to detail Sequel Youth and Family Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer
