The Juvenile Tracker will provide supervision and outreach services to youth involved in the Juvenile Court system and who are at risk to re-offend. The level of supervision varies and will be determined through the child’s risk assessment and collaboration between the Juvenile Court Officer and Juvenile Tracker. This position will work closely with the youth, family, school and Juvenile Court Officer to ensure the expectations of the court are being followed. This position will work a flexible schedule to insure the needs of their caseload are being met. The tracker will manage a caseload of around 10-15 youth covering primarily the Fort Dodge and Carroll service areas and some surrounding counties.
Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision to youth under the guidance of Juvenile Court
Monitor and enforce probation agreements and court orders
Conduct UA’s and PBT’s
Monitor school attendance
Conduct announced and random unannounced visits and checks on Juveniles in the community and at home
Monitor curfew calls and face to face checks of clients on caseload
Provide crisis management
Attend required court hearings and testify in court if needed
24/7 on call availability
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or two years of college
Experience: Working with at risk youth is required.
Other: Must have valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance. Must also have a clear criminal background check.
