Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and commercial buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand the layout of plumbing systems
- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures
- Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters and electricians to ensure proper installation of plumbing systems
- Perform basic math calculations to measure, cut, and bend pipes accurately
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues
- Weld or solder pipes and fittings as needed
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to building codes and regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a plumber or completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program
- Strong knowledge of construction plumbing techniques and practices
- Proficient in blueprint reading to understand plumbing system layouts
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required
