We are seeking candidate a for the position of Intake Associate (5610) in the Legal - Video, Intake and Claims Department.

- Ability to successfully complete testing requirements, employment interview, employment history verification, criminal background check, medical examination including drug screening.
OVERALL DESCRIPTION
Under the general supervision of Manager, intake/intel, creates a single case record that captures, in a structured, standardized, and timely manner, all information related to an incident that will be critical to others during the investigation and evaluation of a potential claim or complaint.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives and registers in case/matter management system, incoming telephone calls and electronic or paper documents pertaining to all matters: claims, customer service and operational reports, complaints, etc.
- Utilizing the Office of General Counsel’s (OCG) designated applications, electronic search criteria, and established checklist(s), determines existing report of incident match to incoming matter, ensuring accuracy, completeness and prevention of duplication and processes information accordingly.
- Progresses registered matters to next step process in a timely manner.
- In accordance with unit manager’s protocols, promptly corresponds with and professionally responds to claimants, attorneys and others regarding inquiries or requests for information.
- Provides electronic or paper document claims form to claimants or others within established time frame.
- Receives and enters lawsuits in case management system for handling.
- Distributes and tracks subpoenas for SEPTA employees’ court appearance.
- Receives mail for OCG, OPENS and enters into case management system, updates and routes to the appropriate party.
- Registers and routes via case management, third party medical bills for handling.
- Receives, identifies and routes Pennsylvania Right to Know Request to appropriate party for processing via case management system.
- Performs miscellaneous clerical duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Must become familiar with Authority rules and regulations and department procedures.
- Multi-Functional Device (MFD), copy, scan, FAX equipment
- Personal Computer: Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office Suite
- Sitting, Standing, and Moving About.
- Normal office environment.
