Service Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance on commercial and industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage circuits.
• Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex electrical systems efficiently.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects.
• Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and electrical safety procedures.
• Install and test programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components within industrial systems.
• Conduct inspections of electrical wiring, systems, and components to identify potential hazards or failures proactively.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installation or repair tasks on construction sites or renovation projects.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including shift reports, incident reports, and inspection logs.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while adhering to safety protocols.
• Support ongoing training on new electrical technologies and safety practices to stay current with industry standards.

Experience

• Proven experience as an electrician in industrial and commercial environments with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading comprehension.
• Experience working with high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage systems in construction or renovation projects.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes is essential.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation system integration is highly desirable.
• Construction site experience including framing carpentry or handyman skills is a plus for versatile project support.
• Strong commitment to electrical safety procedures combined with the ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.

Pay: $28.16 - $33.91 per hour
