Production Technician- Biotechnology - Packing
Position Summary:
This individual must be a self-motivated, detail oriented and energetic person with some chemistry background. The individual must be a quick learner with a mechanical/problem-solving mind to properly produce columns that meet production quota and standards to qualify for the monthly production award program. This full-time non-exempt position is based at our headquarter office located in Newark, Delaware.
Requirements:
- High school graduate with 2 years of industrial lab experience or associate degree in a science field.
- Good understanding of general separation science.
- Be able to strictly follow the Standard Operating Procedures.
- Proficient computer skills to utilize Microsoft software and an ERP system for day-to-day departmental operations.
- Well organized and able to perform several tasks at the same time.
- Good communication skills along with attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Physically fit to stand, bend and twist with ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Responsibilities:
- Perform the production of LC columns following Standard Operating Procedure.
- Complete daily packing assignment
- Monitor and control production processes to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly output goals and maximize yield efficiency.
- Perform the production supporting activities such as buffer preparation, workspace cleaning, column washing, etc.
- Keep proper and legible records of any LC column production activities using Production Notebook and relevant logs.
- Finish ERP and Intranet process to record daily production related activities
- Performance of general housekeeping maintenance in the laboratory and cleanliness in work areas.
- Follow company safety requirements and practices
