Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in the kitchen. As a kitchen staff member, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of ingredients, preparation of the menu dishes, assembling orders, and other various kitchen tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and chop ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other food preparation tools.
• Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages to management.
• Adhere to all food safety standards and sanitation practices.
• Dishwashing is required.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of food handling techniques and culinary practices.
• Ability to multitask even during stressful moments
• Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within the food industry.
• Familiarity with menu planning and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus.
• Proficient knife skills for efficient ingredient preparation.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for teamwork within the kitchen setting.
• A commitment to upholding food safety standards at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
