About the Role
The VP of Client Services is the senior leader responsible for the health, growth, and retention of every client relationship at SEO Brand. This is not an execution role, it is a leadership role. You will define how this agency builds and sustains client partnerships, develop a team of 10 account managers into confident relationship driven professionals, and be the senior presence when client relationships need depth, gravity, or a steady hand.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the overall health of the client portfolio, staying close enough to every relationship to know when something is working and when it isn't.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 10 account managers, raising their ability to build genuine partnerships rather than just manage projects.
- Be the senior client presence for high value accounts, contract renewals, difficult conversations, and moments that require executive level engagement.
- Recognize and pursue organic growth opportunities within the existing client base and teach the team to do the same.
- Build the structure, communication standards, and team habits that make excellent client service consistent and repeatable, not dependent on any one person.
- Step in when a client relationship needs direct attention, own the path to resolution, and restore confidence quickly.
- Work closely with delivery and operations leadership to keep client expectations and actual service execution in sync.
- Bring recurring challenges and team wide needs to agency leadership with clear thinking and a point of view on how to address them.

We envision retention that strengthens over time as a direct reflection of how well clients feel served across the entire portfolio. Account managers think and act like relationship builders, not order takers or project trackers. We are already good at this but know we can get a lot better.
Problems in client relationships are spotted and addressed well before they become losses.
Clients consistently feel like genuine partners, not just names on a roster.
The account team operates as a cohesive, high performing unit with clear standards and strong leadership behind them.
What We're Looking For
- Eight or more years in client services, account management, or customer success, with at least three years leading a team.
- A demonstrable track record of retaining clients and growing them organically.
- Sharp instincts for reading people and relationships, you know when something is off before anyone says it out loud.
- A genuine developer of talent who builds trust with clients and colleagues alike.
- Comfortable in a digital environment with enough fluency to lead strategic conversations; agency background preferred but not required.
- Calm, direct, and solutions focused, especially when things get complicated.
