What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lien Resolution Analyst Senior - Secondary Payer position at Sentryinsurance?
What You'll Do
- Act as the primary point of contact for lienholders, validating conditional payment notices against medical records, identifying unrelated charges, and maintaining accurate system data and ICD codes.
- Proactively negotiate Medicare, Medicaid, and MAP liens, disputing inaccurate charges and presenting evidence to secure compromise offers that minimize settlement impact.
- Partner with claim representatives to integrate lien resolution into the overall case strategy, resolving complex issues and escalating to internal or external resources when necessary.
- Ensure all resolutions strictly adhere to the Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) statute and relevant laws, following established "Safe Harbor" protocols for unvalidated obligations.
- Maintain comprehensive, audit-ready files by drafting necessary correspondence, providing updated injury documentation, and reporting on savings outcomes and operational activities.
What it Takes
- Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience
- Experience in Medicare, liens, claims, medical billing, or other related work
