What You’ll Do
Actuary interns are given the opportunity to learn the basics of actuarial functions through exposure to a broad range of insurance products and actuarial methodologies in addition to participating in project work that takes place throughout the internship.
Our Actuary Internship Offers Opportunities To
- Compile and categorize data
- Complete assignments which pertain to monitoring rate adequacy
- Manage corporate insurance risks
- Perform basic statistical analysis
- Evaluate loss and expense reserves
- Become familiar with company operations, systems, and actuarial methodologies
To be considered for this position, the following criteria are necessary:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Mathematics, or Statistics
- At least one actuarial exam complete is preferred
- Obtain a minimum in-major GPA of 3.0
- Graduating from December 2026- May 2028
- Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
