We are hiring a Multi-Discipline Engineer with experience across software engineering, embedded systems, electrical engineering, and mechanical integration to support advanced sensing, perception, and autonomous system technologies deployed in operational environments.
This is a hybrid engineering role based in Syracuse, NY, ideal for engineers who want hands-on ownership across code, hardware, and fielded systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and support software systems for sensor processing, perception, and decision-making
- Write and debug code in Python, C/C , or similar languages
- Support embedded systems development, including sensors, onboard compute, and hardware interfaces
- Perform hardware–software integration for deployed systems
- Assist with electrical engineering tasks such as power systems, wiring, and sensor integration
- Support mechanical integration, including mounts, enclosures, and system layout
- Conduct testing, validation, and documentation in lab and field environments
- Support field testing and deployments (up to 20% travel)
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in software development (Python, C/C , embedded software)
- Working knowledge of electrical systems (embedded electronics, sensors, power management)
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems and integration
- Experience supporting deployed or operational technical systems
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
- Willingness to work hybrid in Syracuse, NY and travel up to 20%
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience with computer vision, perception systems, or autonomy software
- Background in robotics, unmanned systems, or autonomous platforms
- Experience with Linux-based systems, edge computing, or GPU-enabled platforms
- Familiarity with Git, version control, and modern DevOps workflows
- Prior work in defense, aerospace, or government programs
- Active or prior security clearance
