THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE VIRGINIA DCJS ARMED SECURITY OFFICER REGISTRATION.
Do NOT apply if:
- You do not currently hold an Active Virginia DCJS Armed Security Officer Registration.
- Your DCJS Armed Registration is expired.
- You are only licensed as an Unarmed Security Officer.
- You are still enrolled in an Armed Security class and have not yet received your registration.
Applicants who do not meet these minimum qualifications will not be considered.
About the Position
Sentry Force Security is hiring professional Armed Security Officers for multiple full-time and part-time assignments throughout the Hampton Roads area.
We have immediate openings for officers assigned to government facilities, public transportation environments, residential communities, administrative buildings, and other high-profile locations.
Assignments vary by operational need and are discussed during the interview process.
Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned properties on foot or in a vehicle.
- Protect employees, visitors, residents, and property.
- Control access to facilities.
- Respond to emergencies and security incidents.
- Complete detailed reports and documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Enforce client policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Work independently and as part of a security team.
Minimum Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Active Virginia DCJS Armed Security Officer Registration
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a criminal background investigation
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred
- Previous armed security experience
- Military experience
- Law enforcement experience
- CPR/First Aid certification
